"Introduction to Black and White: The Darkroom Experience" starts on Thursday, January 15th, and runs for 8 consecutive Thursday nights, from 6:30 - 8:30. The cost for this course is $255.00. That includes your first roll of film, all of your darkroom chemistry, and 50 sheets of paper for your printing. Take control of your pictures! This course completely covers the operation of 35mm cameras, film developing and darkroom printing. Students will learn composition, exposure, lighting, and selective focus. As a student you will learn how to print and present black and white photographs. A 35mm film camera with manual options is required.

"Introduction to Digital Photography" is a one day seminar on Sunday, February 8th, from 9:00 - 3:00. The cost for this seminar is $75.00. Digital photography has many advantages over traditional film photography. Digital photos are convenient, allow you to see the results instantly, don't require the costs of film and developing, and are suitable for software editing and uploading to the Internet. While shooting on film will always have a place in the world of photography, digital models have taken over the consumer camera market almost completely. If you own or are planning to buy a digital camera, this seminar will take you beyond point-and-shoot and help you get more out of it. While having a digital camera with a removable storage card is preferable, it is not mandatory to have a camera to attend this seminar.

To register for these classes, please call the Kimball-Jenkins School of Art in Concord, New Hampshire, at (603) 225-3932. The Kimball-Jenkins School of Art is located at 266 North main Street.

Alas, I am in dire need of instruction, but I am too far away!

It's a gorgeous campus! One of these days I'd love to take a photog class. The only instruction I've had was photo class way back in Jr. High, lol.
